MA - Monitor Basic ------------------ This transactions contains the primary (basic) information for defining a monitor. Recall, in AQS a monitor is **not** necessarily a sampler or physical device, but a logical construct indicating a single parameter measured at a site. That is, if you have a sampler that collects a sample that is analysed for 5 pollutants, this will be defined as 5 monitors in AQS. This transaction contains a definition of the parameter that will be reported, physical information for the probe, and additional geographic information (beyond what was entered for in the corresponding site transaction).
